Where should I put a nursing chair in the nursery?

Short answer: Put the nursing chair where it does not block the route to the cot. Keep it away from windows and blind cords, and wall-fix it as the instructions say.
  • Sit in it, or check the seat height and depth, so your feet rest flat and your arms are supported.
  • Gliders and rockers can help with settling. Keep them away from where toddlers play.
  • Never fall asleep with your baby in a chair.

What the guidance says

  • Place the cot away from radiators, direct sunlight and blind cords.
